About Olympica Knights

“Olympica Knights”, an Inter School Olympics, was conceptualized with an objective of promoting sports with school education. It aims at providing the best possible platform to the young athletes of schools to showcase their sporting talents.

With the constant support & guidance of Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, the Co-Chairperson of the Techno India Group, “Olympica Knights” the first of its kind inter school sports event is being organized in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. As of now, there is no registration fees or any cost of participation for any participant.

The latest (fourth) edition of “Olympica Knights” was organized from 11th – 16th December, 2024. The six-day event, hosted across 5 venues, had 14 game disciplines, 1315 boys & 946 girls totaling 2261 participants from 105 Schools of Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, South & North 24 Parganas, Burdwan, Jhargram, Midnapore, Balurghat and other locations of West Bengal.

The fifth edition of “Olympica Knights” is scheduled to take place in the month of December, 2025 (Tentatively from 12th – 17th December, 2025) in Kolkata. Plans are also underway to organize the event in other parts of India and Globally.

Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, the Co-Chairperson of the Techno India Group stated that, “Techno Olympica Knights is our endeavor to unite schools through the power of sport. It is a celebration of youthful energy, discipline and fair play — qualities that define true champions. My vision is to create a vibrant arena where students not only compete but also learn teamwork, resilience and leadership, carrying the spirit of sportsmanship far beyond the field.”

Participation Details

There were 598 participants from 32 Schools in the first edition of “Olympica Knights”. With growing enthusiasm and interest of the participants and schools, the number is growing significantly with every passing edition. Details of the participation of past editions are listed below…

Game Disciplines

The first edition of 'Olympica Knights' had 11 game disciplines. The fourth edition had 16 game disciplines, some of which were divided into subgroups, bringing the total number of games for both boys and girls to 31. In the fifth edition, the total number of games available for both boys and girls to attempt will be 34.

Frequently Asked Question

Registration of the Olympica Knights is free for all participating schools.
No, starting from the fifth edition of the Olympica Knights, registration will be exclusively by online process. However, proper guidance, technical know-how, and tutorial videos will be provided to the participating schools.
Participating schools need to arrange transportation for their participants and accompanying teachers. However, breakfast, lunch, or both will be provided for all participants and teachers, as per the game schedule and norms.
Principal / Vice Principal / Physical Education Teacher / Sports Teacher / Senior Teacher / Authorised & Official Staff Member of the School are eligible for the online registration process.
Guardians, students, and unauthorized persons are strictly prohibited from the registration process.
For more details on participation eligibility and the maximum number of games per student, please refer to the downloadable "Important Registration Details" in the registration section.
Guardians or any unauthorised person will not be allowed to enter the game venues. However, guardians may accompany the participants till the entry gate of every venue. Only the teachers with valid access password will be allowed to enter the venue along with the participants.

Online Substitution Rules: Participating schools may make any number of substitutions for any game discipline through the online process until Friday, November 28, 2025.

Offline Substitution Rules: After November 28, a maximum of six substitutions will be allowed. These must be completed offline at the help desk at Techno India, Salt Lake, on December 9 and 10, 2025, with valid participant documents.

Emergency Substitutions: For any emergency substitution required due to injury or a medical reason after the tournament has commenced, the following must be done: A request must be sent via email from the authorized mail ID provided during registration.
Valid documents for the new participants must be produced.

Final Decision: The organizing committee may refuse to allow any substitution at any time for any reason. Its decision is final, and schools must comply with it.
